What are short links and how to use them
Turn any long web address — merch, tickets, videos — into a clean MelodyLane short link that counts every click.

What a short link is
- A short link turns a long web address into a tidy one like melodylane.io/s/tour.
- When someone taps it, they go straight to your page and MelodyLane counts the click.
Tip: Think of it like Bitly, but with your MelodyLane name on it.

Short link or smart link?
- Smart link: a full release page where fans pick Spotify, Apple Music and more.
- Short link: a quick jump to one place — merch, tickets, a YouTube video, a Discord invite or a press article.
Tip: Promoting a song? Use a smart link. Sending fans anywhere else? Use a short link.

Create your short link
- Go to Dashboard → Short links.
- Paste the full web address you want to share.
- Pick a short, easy word for the end (like tour or merch), or let us make one for you, then save.
Watch out: Double-check the address you paste. Open it once yourself so fans never land on the wrong page.

Share it anywhere
- Copy your short link and put it in your bio, Stories, captions, flyers or emails.
- It's short enough to say out loud on a livestream or print on a poster.
- 5
Check your clicks
- Your Short links page shows how many times each link was tapped.
- Use it to see which post, flyer or bio link sends the most fans.
Tip: Make a different short link for each place you share so you know which one works best.
