See where your fans come from — automatically

One link for every bio and post. MelodyLane detects Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more, and shows each source in Insights.

  1. 1

    Share one link everywhere

    • You don't need a separate tracking link per app. Share your normal smart link in every bio, story and post.
    • When a fan taps it, MelodyLane reads the referring app or website (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Google…) and files the visit under that source.
    • Visits with no referrer — like someone typing the address — show as Direct.

Tip: Your own visits while signed in aren't counted.

  2. 2

    Read your sources

    • Open your smart link while signed in and tap Show insights — Where fans come from lists each source with visits, taps and share of traffic.
    • The full Analytics page in your dashboard shows the same Top channels breakdown with charts.
    • Free and Pro members see top sources; Studio and Lifetime get the complete per-source breakdown.
  3. 3

    Tag paid ads separately

    • Referrers can't tell a paid ad from an organic post on the same app. To separate them, open your Smart Link, go to Studio tools → Running Paid Ads and switch on Tag my link for paid ads.
    • Copy the tagged link (it uses your custom domain if connected, otherwise your MelodyLane address) and use it only in your ads. Ad traffic then shows as its own Paid ads source in Insights.

Watch out: Some in-app browsers hide the referrer entirely, so a small share of visits may show as Direct even when they came from a social app.
