How To Connect Your Custom Domain
Send fans to links.yourname.com instead of a shared address. It takes about five minutes, plus a short wait.
Pick the address you want
You can use a whole domain you own, like yourname.com, or a sub-address of it, like links.yourname.com or music.yourname.com.
Recommended: use a sub-address
Already have a Shopify store, Squarespace, Wix or other website on your domain? Use a sub-address like links.yourname.com. Connecting the whole domain would replace your existing site.
Add it on your custom domain page
Open Use a custom domain, type the domain in and press Add. We'll instantly show you the two records you need to copy.
Open your custom domain pageOpen your domain provider
Sign in wherever you bought the domain and find its DNS settings.
Add these two records
| If you're connecting… | Type in Name / Host |
|---|---|
| yourname.com | @ (or leave blank if @ isn't accepted) |
| links.yourname.com | links |
| music.yourname.com | music |
Most providers add your domain to the Name field automatically, so type only the short part shown above — never the full address twice.
Wait, then press Check status
Records usually spread within 15 minutes to a few hours, and can take up to 72 hours. Come back to your custom domain page and press Check status.

You're live
Once it verifies, every page you share uses a custom domain. Links you posted before keep working too.
If something goes wrong
"That address is already in use." The domain is connected to another account or project. Remove it there first, then add it again here.
Saved the records but nothing found. Give it a few more hours, and double-check the Name field doesn't repeat your domain.
An old record is in the way. Delete any other A record with the same name that points somewhere else — two conflicting records cancel each other out.
Using Cloudflare? Set the A record's proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud) until it verifies.
Still stuck? Message us with your custom domain and a screenshot of your DNS settings.
